Introduction
The KPS TL500 is an advanced ground resistance tester designed for comprehensive testing and evaluation of grounding systems across a wide range of electrical and industrial applications. Combining multiple measurement methods in one versatile instrument, it is ideal for testing transformer grounding systems, lightning protection installations, high-voltage transmission towers and telecommunications infrastructure.
Supporting 2-pole, 3-pole and 4-pole testing methods, including selective and two-clamp measurements, the TL500 enables accurate assessment of ground resistance across a variety of grounding configurations. Its selective measurement function allows individual grounding connections to be tested within interconnected grounding systems without disconnecting them, while the two-clamp method enables measurements without auxiliary ground rods.
With additional soil resistivity testing, AC and DC resistance measurement, and electrical interference monitoring, the TL500 provides a comprehensive solution for electrical contractors, utility engineers, maintenance technicians and grounding system specialists. Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) helps minimise the effects of electrical interference, while internal data storage and USB connectivity allow measurement results to be transferred to a PC for analysis and reporting.
